Browne's steam pan covers are designed to fit any 1/9 size hotel pans and help prevent seepage or spills during transport. They also help prevent cross-contamination and keep a more stable temperature within the pan than if it were open. We carry a solid and a notched model, the latter being useful for allowing a serving spoon to rest in the hotel pan while it is covered.

They are popular in casinos and other large buffets as inserts for chafing dishes, but they also have other uses. They can be used for cold storage or ingredient containers in a prep table. We also carry polycarbonate food pans, which are sometimes preferred for these uses, though, because they won't react with and spoil lettuce, for example.
